Add your customer
Enter your customers details to start, these are used for the estimate, buying list, invoice etc, this means you only need to enter them once for each job. No need to keep typing the same information every time you produce another form or report.
Add a job description, date and job number. If you prefer, WorkSmart will automatically number each job consecutively for you. Even the date can be added instantly using the handy drop down calendar.
Add labour rates and mark-up
Enter a labour rate for your estimate and then add a mark-up value for material or labour. As you add or amend items to your job the total cost and mark-up values are automatically updated so you can see exactly where you are at any time.
Add items to your job
Adding items to your job is easy. WorkSmart uses the market leading LUCKINS data and includes thousands of most widely used products from leading manufacturers. This information is automatically updated weekly keeping your estimates always up to date. No need to search through price lists or ‘guesstimate’ the price. You can see the profit on every job instantly as the estimate is being prepared.
Find items in seconds – you can search by catalogue number, manufacturer or type of product. It’s easy, select the manufacturer, choose the type of product this narrows down to a smaller range, just click until you find the item you need. This is added instantly to your job and all the labour hours, labour and material costs etc are updated and displayed at the same time. You just keep adding items until everything is listed.
Special items (one off’s, bespoke fabrications etc) can also be added.
When you have finished you name and save the job. If you ever need to review this job in the future you can find it in seconds. No searching through piles of paper in filing cabinets.
Print your Estimate – you choose whether you want to show an itemised list in your estimate or just the final totals depending on your customer.
Print a Buying List – When your estimate is accepted print out an itemised buying list to give your distributor. This is very handy as it takes seconds to do and you know you have not missed anything.
Print an Invoice – once again you choose how much information to display.
Customise your Estimates and Invoices
All your company details are stored in WorkSmart so you don’t need to type them each time you produce a new estimate or invoice. You can also store your company logo. This means your estimates and invoices can be produced in seconds and are always personalised and professional.

You can also print a Jobsheet and Purchase Order. These all look great with your company details and logo added. The great thing is how quick they are to produce, just select which form you want and click the mouse.
Information from WorkSmart can also be exported to and imported from other formats such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
