Max Fordham wins Amtech sponsored award
Amtech is delighted to congratulate Max Fordham, winners of the New Build Project of the Year in both Private and Public sector categories the CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2012.
The Private Sector category, sponsored by Amtech, attracted many strong entries but it was the Brockholes Visitor Centre that won the judges over for its innovation in building services design. The building includes many low carbon and other sustainability features, while addressing the unique nature of the project and requirements of the client, Lancashire Wildlife Trust.
In the Public Sector category it was the new John Hope Gateway project at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh that most impressed the judges. The project clearly showed how innovative design can deliver significant reductions in energy consumption and carbon emissions. Amtech was also proud to sponsor this category.
The CIBSE Building Performance Awards recognise the best performance, innovation and practice in design, commissioning, construction, installation and operation of sustainable buildings and the manufacturers whose technologies enable energy efficiency.
The awards focus on actual, measured performance, not design intent or performance specifications. Judged by a panel of distinguished industry leaders, winners of the awards know that their work is best in class.
The CIBSE This glittering occasion was hosted by Huw Edwards the celebrated news reader.
“Amtech is proud to support these awards, which celebrate the very best in building services design,” enthused Amtech CEO Mark Tindall. “As a company that pioneers innovative approaches through software and information services, we are particularly pleased that innovation was a key element in the success of this project.
