NES is a specification compiling programme for use in generating Building Services Specifications. The software contains a comprehensive library of clauses that Building Services Engineers can select and edit to create complete project specifications. It reduces tedium, keeps you right up to date and effortlessly puts you in line with best practice.
The clauses are based on the Common Arrangement of Work Sections (CAWS). CAWS is a working convention designed to promote standardisation of, and detailed co-ordination between, bills of quantities and specifications. It is part of the industry wide Construction Project Information (CPI) initiative and is used for the arrangement of building project documents throughout the industry.
It is essential that building specifications are concise, clear and accurate. However keeping specifications up to date with current legislation and standards would involve time and cost beyond the reach of most companies. This is why NES specification expert is so valuable. All the clauses are available at your fingertips and are constantly updated giving you complete confidence your specifications meet current standards.
Easy to Use
Although extremely comprehensive, NES is very intuitive and easy to use. In addition to an extensive instruction manual the software contains easy to use wizards, typical examples and FAQ's.
Guidance notes are provided for most sections and in some cases for individual clauses. In addition to this facility, you can also add your own comments to sections and clauses.
