Software for the Building Services Industry

What do people say about Amtech Training....

Ray Shore, a design manager, of Nottingham was not familiar with ProDesign so enrolled on the ProDesign course in order to jump start into using it.

“I had been messing about with the software but I am not a computer whiz kid that can work it all out on my own,” he said: “I wanted an overview of how to use the system, and that exactly what I got.”

“What I learned on the day was very useful and when I came back to using it I then I sent emails to the tutor if I had any more problems which were answered straight away.”

“I would definitely recommend it to anyone who had not used the programme before.”

Kevin Goodfellow, an electrical designer specialising in electrical systems in the water industry, had been using Amtech Software for years, and decided to take the Advanced ProDesign and HV distribution courses to brush up his skills.

“I had been using Amtech software for 8 years and I wanted to avoid getting so many error messages,” he said. “I had also upgraded to a new package and I wanted to learn how better to use the new features that hadn’t been in previous versions.”

“It was really useful. The teaching was excellent and it consolidated what I knew already. I would definitely recommend that any user goes on training no matter how long they have been using the software, as there are always new things to learn.”

“One of the companies that I work with is designing the electrical systems for a new site using Amtech and I am advising them that all users take a course before starting the project.”

Some customers also use the training facility for larger groups of people. Andy Gemmell, services contract manager, for AWE Aldermaston organised for 32 of his staff to train on FastTest when his company started using the software – something which he said that they all benefited from.

He said: “We recently bought in the Amtech products and a range of staff from supervisors to apprentices were put on the course to get used to using it. It was very good overall. Everyone found it enjoyable and felt it was a good experience.
